200ml of dichloromethane and 67.6g(200mmol) of tetrabutylammonium sulfoxide are added to a flask having a capacity of 2L including a stirring device and a dropping funnel, and then 50ml of 4M NaOH aqueous solution is added to the solution for stirring. 10g(204mmol) of sodium cyanide dissolved in 20ml of water was dropped into the dichloromethane solution through a dropping funnel in advance, and then stirred at room temperature (25°C) for 30 minutes. The obtained suspension was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to obtain 58.7g of crude tetrabutylamine cyanide in oil form.
